How to Join

Becoming a member of Beaufort Sail & Power Squadron

  • Since USPS is a volunteer organization, it is essential that our members be willing and able to contribute their time, energy, and skills to the objectives of the organization, self education, civic service, and a family boating club.
  • One of the core beliefs of BSPS membership is that an educated boater is a safe boater. It should then come as no surprise that there is an educational requirement. Typically, this is satisfied by completion of America's Boating Course, but if you have previous experience and training such as completion of another USPS or NASBLA approved course including: USCG Captain's License, a degree from the US Naval Academy, USCG Academy or US Merchant Marine Academy or any boating course carrying NASBLA or USCG certification; then that may qualify you as well. ASA certifications may qualify you also.
  • You must be 16 years of age.
  • You must be accepted by the squadron executive committee.
  • Individual annual membership: $92 Family annual: $139

Member Benefits include many discounts on a wide variety of products & services. You may become a United States Power Squadrons member without meeting the BSPS requirements for course completion.
