Since few squadrons have an actual "Squadron Building" course or seminars are
usually held in other public or private facilities. This tool offers a way to
locate squadron courses or seminars being taught near you.
It is important to explain the results you will see. Since we cannot
determine an exact geographic location for either you or the facility,
calculations are based on zip codes and what the Census Bureau views as the
location of the center of a zip code's area. What you will see as a distance
between your location, either entered or derived from a town list, and the
facility's location is actually the distance between the center of your zip
code's area and the center of the facility zip code's area.
This may lead to some strange results. If a course or seminar is given in
your zip code area and is several miles away, the distance will be shown as
zero because the distance between the two zip code centers is zero. Conversely,
if a course or seminar is in a neighboring zip code area and is actually only a
very short distance away, the distance shown may be several miles based on the
difference between the zip codes centers.
