Squadron Burgee Heraldry
The symbols are graphic expressive in nature; the Cardnal being the State Bird of Ohio and the Star within the Circle designates "Columbus" as the State Capitol. (Star used by map makers to indicate Capitol cities). The Red bird on black twig on white, blue device, red star, white background, replaces the original pennant.
Squadron Heraldry information was compiled by
P/R/C Alice Ringger, AP
a member of the Historian Committee from information submitted to HQ by individual squadrons.
