Sail & Power Squadron Chartered-1938 District-24 State-OH
Squadron Burgee
Squadron Burgee Heraldry
The vertical blue and white stripes take their origin from the USPS Ensign and serve as a design background. The red spread wings are symbolic of the birthplace of aviation, as Dayton has come to be known, through the accomplishments of its native sons, the Wright brothers. The white "D", of course, is the first letter of the Squadron name.
Squadron Heraldry information was compiled by
P/R/C Alice Ringger, AP
a member of the Historian Committee from information submitted to HQ by individual squadrons.
