Squadron Burgee Heraldry

The Squadron burgee was designed in the late 1940’s by the Art Department of the Gray Printing Company. The reason for the Prairie Schooner was that, at that time, we were the only Squadron not on a navigable body of water, and we were nicknamed the Prairie Squadron.

Squadron Heraldry information was compiled by P/R/C Alice Ringger, AP a member of the Historian Committee from information submitted to HQ by individual squadrons.
