District Flag Heraldry: The design’s vertical strips compliment and honor the design of the United States Power Squadrons Ensign. The number 22 identifies the district’s number. The red triangle represents a pennant. The three gold 5-pointed stars are symbolic of the three gold stars of the USPS Navigator grade insignia. The actual flag is embellished with the addition of a single gold band along the fly edges which signifies the 50th Anniversary.The D22 Flag Heraldry is being updated based on a historical documentation used during the District 22 combined 50th Anniversary and COW in 2007. The document described the design of the flag.
