The blue field represents the water of the Gulf of Mexico that embraces some 800 miles of the Louisiana coast line. The white ring buoy represents the safety afloat which we teach and are dedicated to. The red stick running through the ring buoy represents the Capitol City of Louisiana, Baton Rouge, which literally translated means "stick, red".
