Squadron Burgee Heraldry:
Birmingham’s burgee is a white sea-horse and three white stars on a blue background. The sea-horse is emblematic of our first meeting place - a horse barn. Actually, it was the club room of Bloomfield Open Hunt Club to which several of our charter members belonged. The three stars are symbolic of the three neighboring squadrons from which we drew our charter members. They were: Detroit, Grosse Pointe, and Mt. Clemens. The blue background is, of course, the beautiful blue water upon which we all enjoy our boating.
