Squadron Burgee Heraldry: The blue and white vertical stripes are taken from the USPS Ensign, and the fact that there are thirteen stripes is significant in that it ties the pennant to the USPS Ensign and to the flag of the Unites States of America. The single white star signifies that New Haven is a member of District One. The gold & platinum border signifies over 100 years in active participation.Our squadron name was officially changed to New Haven Sail & Power Squadron in 2019.
