Squadron Burgee: dearborn.png
Squadron Burgee Heraldry: The design was arrived at through a contest open to all Dearborn Power Squadron members in 1955. Edward Rosalik, AP, designed the burgee. His was chosen as the best of the entries.The lower peninsula of Michigan is nested inside a ship’s wheel to signify that the Great Lakes State is surrounded by water and is the center of boating activity on 3 sides. The ship’s wheel is the center of the nested burgee, reflecting Dearborn Power Squadron. The blue and white stripes of the burgee, reflects the USPS Ensign.The gold braid around the burgee was added in 2003 to signify that the squadron reached 50 years of existence.
