Squadron Burgee Heraldry: The burgee design of the Tampa Power Squadron utilizes the three (3) colors of the United States Power Squadrons’ ensign which itself was based on the United States’ national ensign. The 'T' stands for the city of Tampa. The circle over the 'T' represents our wonderful Florida sunshine. The arrows that form the anchor point to Tampa Bay on the West and Hillsborough Bay on the East with the water flowing from one to the other. The stripes symbolize the fact that Tampa Power Squadron is a part of the larger unit, the United States Power Squadrons. The platinum border recognizes the squadron's 75+ years of service to the boating community.
