“Boating is fun…we’ll show you how”.

District 31 of USPS® is one of 33 regional districts which comprise the United States Power Squadrons®,  a national, non-profit boating organization devoted to safe boating through education.  Our volunteer members consist of enthusiastic sailors and powerboaters.  The United States Power Squadrons, also known as America's Boating Clubsm, tries to meet the needs of all boaters, both power and sail, big and small, by providing public boating education courses to all current or prospective boaters.  We also offer advanced boating education and fraternal boating to their members.

Districts are made up of local squadrons within their own regional areas.  It is the squadrons who conduct public boating courses and are the real heart of the USPS organization. Districts offer guidance by being a communication conduit to the national organization and also provide support by being actively involved in meeting the squadrons’ needs.  Our congenial group of approximately 450 active members and  family members in District 31 enjoy many types of boating.  These include long river cruises and short boat rides on area lakes.   We have the benefit of unique natural settings and man-made resources located within District 31, which greatly adds to our boating enjoyment.  The district encourages civic activities such as Environmental programs and Vessel Safety Checks.  District 31 currently has five squadrons: four squadrons in Oklahoma, and one in Northwest Arkansas.
