At the annual meeting of the Grand Lake Association, various awards are presented to individuals and organizations recognizing efforts to promote and support GLA's efforts to promote Grand Lake.  In the past the Grand lake Sail and Power Squadron were recognized for their volunteer efforts with the Volunteer of the year award for 2006. 

One of the most prestigious awards bestowed by the Grand Lake Association recognizes outstanding efforts in a variety of situations that exemplifies total commitment to the promotion and service to our lake community.  In 2010, at the recent annual meeting of the GLA, the
Grand Lake Sail & Power Squadron was presented with this award.
