News, July 15, 2010:  GPS GAM GAB FEST was held July 13 at the GAR Hall.  Discussion and mentoring and some convoy plans were set by some of the 15 present. Expect a follow-up this summer.

News, June 13, 2010:  the next set of courses will be held in the fall of this year.  the next step up in Piloting is Junior Navigator.  Come, take the course, or challenge any other exam and get credits recognized by some boating insurers, that can save you premium money.

News, June 13, 2010: June 12 was FLARE DAY at Scituate Maritime Center.  About 30 came, saw and fired away old and new flares and smoke canisters and rocket flares.  The used ones were tossed and the expired but good ones were collected.  Some owners, satisfied their vintage 1980 flares still worked, took the still loaded ones home again.  Make up day is July 3, at 10 AM.
