Friday evening March 2 through Sunday morning March 4th, 2012 This year our District Change of Watch will be unusual, and hopefully memorable. It will be held at the Scappoose Creek Inn. For details of the Inn, please see their website under the same name. Our venue will be intimate, with only a limited number of rooms available. There will be ten rooms plus a cottage. Overflow guests will have to make reservations at the Best Western in St Helens (about a 10 minute drive away). Lunch and dinner space will be sufficient to accommodate all attendees. Our change of Watch will be held at the Scappoose Creek Inn, in Scappoose. There are ten rooms, each will private baths. The rooms are contained in two farm houses, which have been remodeled for this purpose. In addition, there is one separate cottage, again with private bath, for a total of 11 separate accomodations. Historically, this has been more than enough for our guests staying the night. The rooms vary in price: two at $69 one at $79 three at $85 one at $95 one at $110 two at $115 the cottage at $150 Reservations may be made by calling 888-875-1670. Please plan to reserve early. Be sure to say you are with the power squadron. Our meeting and evening banquet will take place in a dairy barn, charmingly converted to meeting/banquet space. Again, early reservation of rooms is advised. Our spouse activity will also be unusual, and restricted in number. We will be able to accommodate about 6 guests. This has historically been a sufficient size, but if the activity proves to be popular, we may have to decline to accept late-comers. We will be car-pooling to the Belleza Day Spa in St Helens. Guests will have their choice of manicures (2 max), pedicures (4 max), or massages (a couple more if this is chosen). A copy of the services and the prices is attached.** In addition to the spa, the visit will include a catered lunch. The cost of the lunch is $10 per person, and will include a complimentary glass of wine, champagne, or mimosa.
