GPS Recreational Reference Points at Area Boat Launches
are provided by the Northeast Chapter of the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors.
These are conveniently located very close to boat launches so that boaters can quickly check
their GPS performance. Below is what they look like:
The monuments have brass circular surfaces roughly 4 inches in diameter encased in an eight inch diameter concrete cylinder that is buried in the ground so that the brass surface is just below the level of the surrounding landscape. The Green Bay and the Sturgeon Bay ones do not show the coordinates.

The Green Bay, Metro Boat Launch, Marker Location
is 200 feet NE of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Station in a parking lot end island.
The Kewaunee Public Boat Launch, Marker Location
is to the left of the east side ramp (Lake Michigan is to left).
The Two Rivers Boat launch Marker Location
appears to be adjacent to the Seagull Marina and the Water Works

is just north of the yacht club
