2007, in Sturgeon Bay, Cdr Carole Biddick presented
Fred Hankwitz, P, with his certificate and pin commemorating his 50
year as a USPS member. Fred is a Ferryboat captain in the run between
Washington Island and Door County. He joined at age 18 and has taken all the
elective courses.
Fred's Dad, Arthur W. Hankwitz, SN
Milwaukee, was instrumental in the growth of the USPS and a past D/C for
D/10. So Fred comes from an active USPS family.
