This 10-week course will be from 6:30 to 8:30 PM on Wednesday evenings.  This course is open to the public, but early registration is required so that text and other materials can be ordered on time.

Weather is a must-have course to ensure the safety and comfort of those who venture out on the water.  Subject matter includes how weather systems form, behave, move, and interact with one another; also, the availability of all sorts of weather reports and forecasts on the Internet is covered.  Weather is a general course, which will benefit everyone, not just skippers.  Dr. Alan Wentworth, SN, will be the instructor.  He is a long-time boater, who received his lifetime USPS membership in 2003.  Wentworth began boating on a small river in Iowa, first sailed on Lake of the Ozarks, and then raced a sailboat on the Cooper River in New Jersey.  He currently owns and operates a 38-foot powerboat primarily on Green Bay and Lake Michigan.
