About the Grand Lake Sail & Power Squadron |
Organized in 1914, USPS is a non profit, educational organization dedicated to making boating safer and more enjoyable by teaching classes in seamanship, navigation and related subjects. Our members are boating families who contribute to their communities by promoting safe boating through education. We enjoy participating with our fellow members on the water and in the classroom. USPS has some 45,000 members organized into 450 squadrons across the country and in some US territories and Tokyo. USPS is the world's largest non-profit boating organization and has been honored by three US presidents for its civic contributions. |
On January 29, 2000 the Grand Lake Sail & Power Squadron was officially chartered by the United States Power Squadrons. Headquartered in Grove Oklahoma, near the center of Grand Lake and encompassing all the communities around the lake. The GLS&PS welcomes all boat owners, power and/or sail and enthusiasts to join in our efforts to promote safe boating. Details of membership, and our activities are located elsewhere on this website and associated website links. The Grand Lake Sail & Power Squadron is a proud member of District 31 (D31) of the USPS. |
