On Friday afternoon, May 2nd, we headed to our "safe" beach close to the marina since the afternoon winds wanted to join us for our "Dinner on the Lake". This beach does not allow for many boating hours, but it sure helps keep the sand out of our food. All turned out well, and there was enough food brought to feed all the boaters in the area! Lesson learned....we needed to harness in our Epicurean efforts next time out.
A Beautiful Evening On Lake Mohave
Should I Have Dessert First?
Al Trueman Smiles With Delight* * * Father's Day on the Lake
June 15, 2008
Lake Mohave, AZOur June 15th Father's Day on the Lake was a success. We planned it for 4:00 in the afternoon with the thought that many of our California neighbors would be packing up for the trek home, and we were correct. It was a busy weekend with high temperatures and beautiful water conditions.....meaning, NO WIND and warm enough to swim in. We were able to land on a nice beach that had just been vacated, set up the canopies, tables, John Gilbert's BBQ, and start another food fest

Norm Dack Asking, When Do We Eat?
John Gilbert Enjoying the WaterJohn has us hooked on his hamburgers and after a trip back to the marina for the Dack's forgotten beans, as if they were needed .but mighty tasty, the eating began. Plenty of leftovers on this trip too. It's always special to watch the sunset on Lake Mohave, but when you're there enjoying it with your fellow boaters, it makes one realize how nice the camaraderie is in the Power Squadron
