John Militello, SThe response and advanced registration for our upcoming ABC Course has been less than I would like, but perhaps "walk-ins" in response to our newspaper ads will produce more students.
At the next general meeting I am planning on having a short seminar on proper radio communications on the water. Some experiences from our recent outings indicate that there are those in the squadron who could use a refresher course in that area. I hope all of you will make arrangements to attend the meeting and bring your questions and any facts you would like to share with the group.

Sharon DackOur squadron is planning to participate in the 2nd Annual Colorado River Regatta that will be held in August. The theme for this year's regatta is "Pirates of the Colorado". The regatta will be made up of rafts constructed by entrants and will float down approximately five miles of the river. More on this in future newsletters. Our involvement in the event is being chaired by squadron member Jo Anne Waller
Dawn and Ken Pierce have donated their "comp" room at the Edgewater for our Fourth of July fireworks viewing party. We will be bringing a small snack and beverage of choice. Since the Pierce's weren't planning to spend the night, they graciously offered the room to be raffled to a lucky winner, and the proceeds given to our Treasury. The drawing was on Father's Day, and guess who the lucky winners are????? The Dacks... Yea!
