Vessel Safety Check

Vessel Safety Checks are a public service of Portland Sail and Power Squadron.
Qualified volunteers will examine your boat and report to you any safety issues they notice.
If your boat has no unsafe conditions you will receive a Vessel Safety Check sticker that you may afix to your boat.

Marine law enforcement officers find that the VSC program helps them avoid having to issue citations to boaters with unsafe boats.

Boaters like avoiding fines they would incur if they were boarded and examined by law enforcement personnel.
