PILOTING COURSE 
 
Started September 15 to complete early December.  This is a ten session course. 14 students.  Next course to be Advanced Piloting starting in January.

SAIL Started September 30, Exams on December 2.  9 students.
Our Sail Course is a complete, classroom oriented, informative program which addresses the fundamentals of Sailing and, moves on to the more advanced issues which all ‘rag sailors’ need to have under their belts before leaving their moorings.

The course begins with basic and generic boat designs, and quickly moves on to rigging and sail processes for the non-sailor.


Courses and Seminars given throughout the year in many subjects.

Seminars  --  typically 2 ½ hours in one meeting

THE BASIC BOATING COURSE  is a good starting point. Good for skippers, their mates and crew members.

Ten
(10) sessions of instruction (once a week for ten weeks) in boating safety, boat handling, seamanship, chart use,  aids to navigation, and elementary coastal navigation.   Squadron Boat Course  is held at the Middle School, Hingham.
  
Next course starts early February, 2010Until then, we suggest you attend one of the other courses or seminars this year.

For students in Hingham and Scituate schools--  BOAT SMART  given once or twice a year as an after-school program within the schools.

Meets all the requirements of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts  for children between ages 12 and 16, and is approved by the National Association of Boating Law Administrators is entitled  Boat Smart® for children. To register or get information see:  Boat Smart Hingham   or   Boat Smart Scituate
