NOVEMBER MEETING - November 26 at 1830
Join us for an evening of good food, great camaraderie and a spell-binding talk by
our guest speaker, Captain Skip DeBrusk, author of “Codfish,
Dogfish, Mermaids and
Frank”. Skip DeBrusk is a former Marine and Founder & President of Friends of the
South Shore Fisheries and Sealife Educational Resources foundations. His book went
37 weeks on the local Best Seller List and is the true story of the relationship
between a young man, the author, and his mentor, set on the fishing grounds and ports
of Plymouth, New Bedford, Nantucket and Provincetown during the early 1950s. Skip
holds a US Coast Guard Masters license (OUPV) and is an ardent fisherman who spends
far too much time chasing cod, tuna, stripers and sharks on Stellwagen Bank.
