Courtesy Vessel Inspections, formerly performed exclusively by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, is now among the community service tasks assumed by United States Power Squadrons. Owners of vessels in the Bare Cove Power and Sail Squadron "Fleet" are encouraged to obtain a voluntary safety examination of their vessel and its equipment. Vessels which are deemed by the Examiner to be in compliance with federal and state requirements are issued, and may display, the new combined USPS/USCGAUX "Vessel Safety Check" Decal.

Bare Cove Sail and Power Squadron now has five Qualified Vessel Examiners available to conduct a Vessel Safety Check aboard your boat. Make arrangements early in the season with an examiner near you !
