Get Your Ship's Store Items Now! The Barnegat Bay Sail and Power Squadron Ship's Store has some neat items for your boating and sailing activities. See the attached PDF flyer for details, or contact Kathy Kadlac for additional information.
Boat Smart and Chart Smart Courses. The Boat Smart course teaches basic boating safety, while the Chart Smart course teaches you how to read a chart and navigate your boat safely within sight of land. Successful completion of the Boat Smart proctored exam will allow you to obtain a New Jersey Safety Certificate for boating on New Jersey waters.
Our Boat Smart and Chart Smart courses will start again in the fall. Check back for updated schedule information.
Practice your charting knowledge and skills by participating in the District 4 Educational Cruise in New York Harbor on Sunday June 29, 2008. Complete and send in your reservations now using this PDF form. (28 Mar 08)

Raftings, Rendezvous, and
Cruises
District 4 North and South Rendezvous. District 4, to which Barnegat Bay squadron belongs, is planning two rendezvous for this summer. One rendezvous will be held in our northern area (Red Bank, NJ) and one in our southern area (Atlantic City, NJ). See the information in this PDF notice. (29 Apr 08)

Attend the BlueClaws Outing on Thursday evening, July 10. Make your reservations with Kathy Kadlac NOW. The deadline was June 10, but it has been extended to June 22. Everyone received a flyer in the mail and e-mail. This is always a great outing! (17 Jun 08)
BBSPS has several members who can give your vessel a voluntary safety check to ensure it meets minimum safety requirements. Other USPS squadrons and US Coast Guard Auxiliary flotillas also have this capability. Get more information through links on the USPS Vessel Safety Check Committee web site, or contact John Hatfield, BBSPS Vessel Safety Check Chairman, to arrange for your own boat's safety check. John's phone number is listed in our roster.
