Classes Open to the General Public:
- Basic Boating Course
-
This is a 6-week, in-depth class in boater education. Instruction
is free; however, there is a
charge for the
materials which include the certificate of completion for those
passing the exam. This
certificate more than
satisfies the State of Oregon’s requirements for boater education.
Classes are offered in the
spring and

- Boat Smart Course
-
This is a three-day introductory class in boater education.
Instruction is free; however, there
is a charge for
the materials which include the certificate of completion for
those passing the exam. This
certificate
satisfies the State of Oregon’s requirements for boater education.
Classes are offered in the
spring and
fall or as interest requires. Call Gary Nelson at 503-223-9984

Classes for Power Squadron Members Only:
- The following classes may be offered in the fall or spring as
member interest requires:
Seamanship, Piloting, Advanced Piloting, Engine Maintenance, Marine Electronics, Sail, Cruise Planning, Weather

Meetings/Cruises/Social Events:

Bridge meetings (for members only): first Wednesday of every month; see The Foghorn for time and location.

General meetings: held on the third Wednesday of each month at 1930, Christmas party in December, Change of Watch dinner in March. Program details are published each month in our newsletter, The Foghorn.
- Cruises: District 32, of which Beaverton Squadron is a part, holds monthly cruises, some combined with other local squadrons.
