Educational Requirements

Prospective members must demonstrate that they have passed a USPS or NASBLA approved boating course. This certification can be provided in one of the following ways:

  • Certificate of completion from a local USPS Boating Course

  • Certificate of completion from approved equivalent boating course such as BoatSmart, ABC, USCG Aux course, ODNR course, USCG Captain License etc.

  • Alternatively significant boating experience can qualify some boaters to join.
