The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) will host the daylong event at its Atlantic Marine Operations Center in Norfolk, Va., on 1 May 2007.

Class topics includ depth surveys, range line surveys, Coast Pilot updates, nautical chart updates and small-craft facility updates.

    The workshop participants will get hands-on computer experience using Maptech’s Chart Navigator software to create depth survey 

    routes, and Depth Wiz to transfer files and analyze data. They also will get on-the-water training and experience using the latest 

    equipment for conducting depth surveys.
