The Thanksgiving Dinner was Sunday Nov 23rd with 30 members and guests present. Among those were three who will no longer be guests, as they are now MEMBERS. It is a pleasure to WELCOME ABOARD Carol and David Booth and Alan Koosed.
The Squadron Christmas Party will be Sunday Dec 14th at 1400 (2:00PM) at the Squadron building. We are asking those attending bring non-perishable food items for the Charleston Food Bank. Starting January 1 2009 ALL Recreational boaters, regardless of age, must have the Oregon Boater's card. On Monday January 19th we will start the Squadron Boating course which covers basic boating knowledge. If you have boating friends who have not yet obtained their Oregon Boater's Safety Education card, get them to the class. All members are invited (urged) to attend and Proctor this class. It is the best way to earn your Merit Mark We will no longer be teaching Boat Smart as it has been phased out.
