Register Early and indicate if you will be attending the Fire Drill. There is no fee for the Fire Extinguishing Drill.
  2. Round Table Discussion on Vessel Safety Check regarding Canoes, Kayaks and Paddle Boards and how to make the process more efficient between National and Districts.
  3. Canoeist, member of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail Organization and author, Laurie Chandler will give a presentation how she became the first woman to solo thru-paddle the 740-mile Northern Forest Canoe Trail, the longest mapped inland paddling route in the country. The journey, in a 13-foot canoe, took 53 days and included 150 miles of upstream travel and 125 miles of portaging… From this journey, Laurie wrote Upwards, the uplifting story of finding the inner strength and faith to achieve a dream, set amid the rich tapestry of the history, wildlife, landscapes, and people of New England.
  4. District 19 Webmaster Fred Webel will discuss how we can easily use the National Database and the USPS website. Bridge members and committee members at the squadron and district level will be able to access the many functions and data needed by every squadron
  5. OpenCPN demo and discussion led by R/C Andy Sumberg, SN, Chair of the Educational Outreach Committee (EOCom). Andy’s software expertise and ability to explain it in terms we can grasp will make the use of these very sophisticated navigation tools a must for all boaters. Bring your laptops, tablets or iPads to follow along.
  6. Speaker and Photo presentation: Beston Society board member “The Dune Tramp” a photojournalist who has photographed the Outer Cape Cod dunes and the shacks of an earlier time. Dune Tramp first saw the Outer Cape in the summer 1966 as a youngster and the rest is history. He has been photographing and writing about these dunes ever since.
