P/D/C Ed Lewis,SN and Lt/C Thurston Gray,SN spoke on the USPS Co-Operative Charting Program emphacizing portions where non-boaters can participate. |
P/C Elie Cohen,SN, Chairman of the D/14 Rules Committee, explains the revisions to the D/14 bylaws, necessary to keep them in step with current practices. They were adopted unanimously. |
P/D/C Dave Rugg BBSPS was recognized for having 50 years of membership in USPS. Also receiving recognician for 50 years of membership were A. J. Mailloux TRSPS, Emil Tietje BBSPS, and Donald Wimbiscus, AP of Newport. |
The Prince Henry Award was presented to the Cape Cod Power Squadron for graduating the most Celestial Navigation candidates this year. Cdr. Charles Burke accepts the award from D/EO John Marsden,Jr.,AP with R/C Tom Ellis looking on and offering his congratulations. |
P/C Steve Arthur GBPS is shown here accepting an Educational award in behalf of James Arpin. Educational Awards were also accepted in behalf of Harold Peterson and Larry Venezia. |

The Fall Conference was not entirely speeches and awards. R/C Tom & Dot Ellis were given tokens of appreciation for attending our conference. Tom is showing a paperweight made in the form of a deck cleat with an imbedded timpiece. |
