Squadron & District Website Awards

Website Recognition and Excellence awards were created by the USPS Information Technology Committee (ITCom). Website Excellence recognized those websites that had gone beyond the minimum requirements and provided information in an especially organized and informative manner that encouraged visitors to view all of the information and be motivated to make contact for additional information. The Website Recognition award recognized those websites that met basic criteria of presenting the squadron and USPS to the public and dispersing critical event information to members. Those awards were replaced by the USPS Communications Committee's (CommCom) Distinctive Communicator Award beginning in 2010. Each year CommCom Advisers review Squadron and District websites and select those which merit special recognition for sustained quality throughout the year that not only promote life within the United States Power Squadrons® but also instill interest and inspire and encourage members of the public to take courses and join our organization. CommCom's focus is related to the communications and marketing aspect of websites. 2017 is marked as tbd for some squadrons. We are awaiting input from the USPS Communications Cmte. The archive is missing 2017 & 2018. CommCom has provided 2018. We await 2017 data.
