Boating Guide to America

An online boating guide is now available to the public through the USPS website. Boating Guide to America has been and will continue to be written and edited collaboratively by thousand of USPS members. To become a contributor or an editor of information already in the guide, just login to the USPS website.

Boating Guide to America is like a "boating destinations" version of "Wikipedia," a hugely popular collaborative encyclopedia. It has been created by USPS and the Cooperative Charting Committee with every expectation that it will become the best information source on boating destinations on the Internet because squadron members like you are sharing their knowledge.

Preview the website at http://www.boatingguidetoamerica.com or on the USPS Home page. As you can see, the Boating Guide to America covers the United States and the Canadian providences that front the Great Lakes, as well as covering the US Virgin Islands, the BVI and Mexico.

Any USPS member can edit almost any page, and everyone is encouraged to be bold. Find something that can be improved, either in content, grammar or formatting, and fix it. Or add an article about your favorite boating destination — coastal, lake or river. Your changes will be recorded as "recent changes." Inappropriate changes will be removed by a USPS Moderator, and repeat offenders will be blocked from editing.

Don't be afraid to edit — you can't break this website. Anything can be fixed or improved later. So go ahead, edit an article and help make "Boating Guide to America" the best information source on boating destinations on the Internet!
