You must have your N.J.
State Basic Boating Certificate to take this seminar.
What's included: This one day,
8-hour seminar includes 2 hours in the classroom, 4 hours of
training on the water including behind the wheel experience and
2 more hours in class. It provides an explanation of how your
boat handles and why. Video clips let you visualize the
maneuvers prior to your experiencing them. You will receive
individual instruction in a small group setting, both in the
classroom and on the water. Each student
receives a copy of Powerboat Handling Illustrated, a DVD,
a Student Manual, and a certificate acknowledging his/her
training. You will learn:
Basic controls
Low-speed maneuvering
High-speed maneuvering
Emergency maneuvers
Avoiding collisions
Docking & anchoring
Line handling & Knots
... and much, much more
We recommend that
you first complete a boating safety class, but previous
on-the-water experience is not required.
