Parade on-July 4th, 2015        Annual August Picnic        Annual Marine Swap Meet

We hold our monthly meetings in Oak Harbor, WA on beautiful Whidbey Island and serve the communities on Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands.  Our main purpose is education. We provide a 3-week comprehensive public boating class called: America's Boating Course . These boater education courses meet the state specific and National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) requirements for certification. And completion of the course is accepted by most insurance companies. Click here for registration information. see our schedule of classes by clicking on the EDUCATION tab in the left-hand column. We also offer free 2-hour seminars at the Oak Harbor Yacht Club. See the Education schedule for those too. We do not hold classes during the Summer as we are out on the water enjoying the boating life with fellow members. See our rendezvous schedule on the left-side menu.

Be aware of the weather; see our links to some excellent web-sites on the LINKS page.

Deception Pass Sail & Power Squadron (DPSPS) meets at the Oak Harbor Yacht Club at 1300 Catalina Drive on the water in Oak Harbor. DPSPS and the Oak Harbor Yacht Club (OHYC) have a partnership agreement as they have a beautiful venue and catering service, and we provide boating educational programs. We have monthly potlucks  the second Tuesday during September through May with a presentation at most meetings. We have two catered dinner-meetings, in December (Christmas meeting) and April (change of watch) This gives the members the summer to cruise, practice their new boating skills and to help promote membership and participation at our public classes. We have cruise rendezvous during the summer months in conjunction with Oak Harbor Yacht Club. See the "Rendezvous" tab for more information.
