2012 Safety Fair Participation Seminar @ OHYC Co-Op Charting Inspection Cruise
Deception Pass Squadron initiated a series of seminar that are open to the public joint sponsored by Oak Harbor Yacht Club. The September one was all about the operation of marine VHF radios, October's seminar was about using GPS. Cooperative charting is becoming a popular activity at DPSPS. In November seven of us verified the location of 15 navigational aids from Oak Harbor to Deception Pass. A fun day on the water!

April 9 Change of Watch Meeting - More details coming soon April 13 Anchoring Seminar @ OHYC at10 AM - Presented by Bob Nelson April 16 The next basic boating class starts Americas Boating Class will be taught by Steppe Williford at First United Methodist Church in Oak Harbor. See and Education page for details AND if you have friends and relatives that haven't qualified for their state boater education card, please let them know. April 19-21 OHYC Shakedown cruise to Cap Sante Boat Haven DPSPS members are welcome. Register with Bob Nelson or Reg White (Captains) May 11 Marine Swap Meet at Oak Harbor Marina parking lot -Starts about 8AM -Come shop or bring your stuff and set up a table.
