Prerequisites: Junior Navigation is open to all Active USPS Members and Family Members who have have successfully completed Advanced Piloting
Junior Navigation is the first of a two-part program of study in offshore (open ocean) navigation. It is designed as a practical "how to" course leaving the theoretical and more advanced techniques for the Navigation course. The subject matter includes the following:
Continue your celestial navigation education with "Navigation" ( N ) course. Learn the art of "emergency" navigation at sea and taking sights over head or near the horizon.
