Safe Boating Expo 2007

The 2007 Safe Boating Expo, hosted by Deception Pass Sail and Power Squadron, took place on May 19, the first day of National Safe Boating week.   It was supported by NAS Whidbey Island, who provided an exciting exercise with their MH-60 search and rescue helicopter and a demonstration of combat insertion and retrieval of a team of Explosive Ordinance Disposal specialists. Also participating were the Oak Harbor Fire Department, North Whidbey Fire and Rescue, the Oak Harbor Yacht Club, and a number of other water safety and stewardship groups.   The photos below highlight some of the events enjoyed by the people who attended this free event.
