Who should attend.

Boaters who want to learn the symbols used on charts, use Aids to Navigation and                landmarks to determine location, Layout a safe course, measure a course using a standard USPS plotter, understand Latitudes and Longitudes as well as distance scales along with a quick guide to the rules of the road.   A good prerequisite to the "Using GPS"  seminar.

What to bring

Sharp pencil, erasers, straight edge and any plotting tools you have.

Certification:

This is one of the qualifying seminars for the USPS University, Boat Operator Certification
