America's Boating Course 3rd Edition 

      This four session Boat Safety Course is designed to familiarize the student with the fundamentals of safe boating.   Successful completion of the course yields a Wisconsin DNR, boating safety education certificate now required for all motor boat operators born after 1988* and may lead to lower boat insurance.

  America's Boating Course 3rd Edition covers:

  1. Boat handling under normal conditions
  2. Adverse conditions and emergencies
  3. Types of boats and boating terminology
  4. Required and recommended equipment
  5. Boating regulations and navigation rules
  6. Lines and knots
  7. Charts and aids to navigation
  8. Marine radio usage
  9. Trailer boating

Children, ages 11-15, can take the course if accompanied by an adult;
however, for DNR certification they must be 12 by the last day of class.

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) located
