Are you a beginning boater?

Boat Smart Class - 5 Weeks  -   This class covers the basics of safe boating.  Our Boat Smart classes are held at: Grosse Pointe North High School, 707 Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, in the cafeteria; at the Grosse Pointe Farms Pier Park; and at the Grosse Pointe Woods Lakefront Park.  We will be recruiting new members from those who pass the final exam. 
Class Dates are:   Monday May 19th - Grosse Pointe Farms Pier Park at 7:00 p.m.
                          Tuesday May 27th - Grosse Pointe Woods Community Center at 7:30 p.m.
                          Monday June 30th - Grosse Pointe Farms Pier Park at 7:00 p.m.

 
Squadron Boating Class - 8 weeks, includes Boat Smart plus basic charting.
We offer an 8 session class on Basic Boating to anyone who wants to learn.  This class covers the basics PLUS an Introduction to Charting for those who want to explore Lake St. Clair and beyond.  This class is taught at the Grosse Pointe North High School, 707 Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, in the cafeteria.  We will be recruiting new members from those who pass the final exam.
Class Dates are: 
          Fall 2008 - Grosse Pointe North High School at 7:30 p.m.

Are you an experienced boater who wants to learn more or share your knowledge with others?

We also teach advanced grade classes to our membership, as well as elective courses.  See Member Education for more information on these classes.  If you have passed an approved Boating Course with a final exam you may already be eligible to join the Grosse Pointe Power Squadron.  Contact the Commander, or call (313) 418-5911 for more information.
