The Boat Smart Class is a five week class which covers the same basic material covered in the Basic Boating Class, but without the Charting and Plotting Components. 

Upon successfully passing the final exam a student will receive a Certificate of Completion and a State of Michigan Certificate for Watercraft Operation, which is a requirement for teen operators.  Successful completion of this class may also qualify you for discounts on boat insurance with some companies.
