The Lake Hopatcong Sail & Power Squadron is one of 449 regional squadrons that
make up the world's largest private boating organization. Located in
Northwest New Jersey, we serve the Morris and Sussex county areas and are part
of District 4.
The Power Squadron is a fellowship organization dedicated to the advancement of boating through the self education of its members and civic service. We offer courses to both the general public and to our own membership. Our community activities include organizing and promoting boating inspections at various locations on Lake Hopatcong and Lake Mohawk. These inspections are done in conjunction with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. We also assist the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) update their nautical charts and geodetic marks.
