Members of the Lake Mohave Squadron started out on September 26 for their houseboat vacation on Lake Powell. The trip was coordinated by John Gilbert of our squadron. Squadron members on the trip were (pictured left to right) back row: Andy Pensavalle, Mike Accardo, John Gilbert, Miles Hashizumi and Norm Dack; front row: Linda Pensavalle, Barbara Accardo, Bev Keith, Ginger Hashizumi and Sharon Dack. Miles and Ginger were non member guests of John Gilbert. Although not welcome, we also had two resident mice and a few ants.

Everyone met in Mexican Hat, Utah and spent the night at The Hat Rock Inn. This would allow us to arrive early and refreshed at the Bullfrog Marina. The evening's fare was at the Swinging Steak Restaurant just a walk away, and "Swinging" it was! Our steaks were actually done on a swinging grill on an outside patio...very interesting experience, and tasty, as well. Mighty good food for such a rural location.

We spent the next six days experiencing Lake Powell on our 59' houseboat rented from Bullfrog Marina and finally finding a perfect sandy beach on our second day out where we fished, played like children in the warm water and did excursions on the 19' Runabout that came with our rental.
