June 2011 Activities
P/C Andy Pensavalle

Sharon Dack and Linda Pensavalle planned the June "Member Sponsored Event" which was held at the beautiful Los Lagos community club house. With the Commander's approval June General Meeting was postponed one day to coincide with the event.

The Club House is a wonderful venue for a meeting. Unfortunately scheduling conflicts prevent us from holding our meetings there on a regular basis. Commander Waller discussed some upcoming events that were planned in the District and our preparations for the Spring Conference to be hosted by our Squadron in March of 2012.

The Los Lagos Community Club House Was The Venue For Our June General Meeting

After the meeting was adjourned the members present enjoyed a great selection of food and jovial interaction………In other words, it was "Party Time"! The pictures below say it all……..maybe too much.

Members Just Taking It All In

Needless to say, everyone had a good time and the food was absolutely delicious. Bev Keith brought a nacho sauce that was to die for. Sharon and Linda offered pulled pork and all the fixin's for some great sandwiches. Denise Moore brought some of the best tasting Deviled Eggs ever offered for gastronomic pleasure……(.that means they were really good). I could go on and on but suffice to say that all the shared dishes were great!

Our squadron was visited by P/C Eloy Molina of the Ventura squadron. He was traveling through our area and contacted our Executive Officer John Militello. John is a former member of the Ventura squadron.

Several of our members got together at the Gourmet room cocktail lounge at the Riverside Casino for a "meet and greet". P/C Molina has a lot of knowledge about the operation of a squadron and gave some pertinent information to us all. It was great fun and a very good way to spend an evening.

We wish a speedy recovery to Barb Bramble who at this writing is nursing a broken rib she suffered in a home accident. Been there, Barb. A broken rib is no picnic.
