Man overboard is not the only emergency that can occur on a boat, but it may be the most dreaded. Skipper Saver teaches family members and friends what to do and how to operate the boat if the captain becomes disabled for any reason from a fall overboard to something as simple as a sprained ankle or seasickness. This knowledge is a must for anyone who may have to take over operation of a vessel in an emergency.
The Skipper Saver course is not a substitute for one of our safe boating courses. This course covers only the basics of what do do if something happens to the captain. Anyone that plans on operating a boat should take one of our safe boating courses (Squadron Boating CourseSM, BoatSmart®, or America's Boating Course®.)
An in the water rescue demo is planned so participants should be ready to go on a boat (hat, sun glasses, etc.)
