This month’s “meeting” is on the water.
You’ve always wanted to try the Salem Ferry? Haven’t you?
But you’ve had no compelling reason to do so?
Here is your opportunity! The season is nearly over.
Enjoy a comfortable 45-minute ride on the ferry’s high-speed catamaran from Blaney Street, next to the House of the Seven Gables in Salem, to the Aquarium in downtown Boston. Free parking is available in the Ferry’s lot in Salem. Click here for directions to the Salem Ferry. Click here for the Salem Ferry web site.
No activities are planned but three hours in town provides enough time to dine (Legal Seafood has been suggested) or hanging out at a watering hole of your choice chatting and eating hors d’oeuvres with friends. Of course, the ferry landing is only a short walk to Faneuil Hall and the North End.
Reservations are unnecessary. Arrive at 5:45 p.m. for the 6:10 p.m. ferry to Boston and be at the dock at 9:45 for the 10.00 p.m. return trip home.
