Education and activities for boaters in Marin County, California, on San Francisco
Bay and the Pacific Ocean, sail, power, boat, yacht, seamanship, piloting, navigation,
electronics, diesel, gas, outboard, usps, education, boating, course. Marin Sail
and Power Squadron is a Unit of United States Power Squadrons® (USPS®) serving
Marin County, California, since 1959. The parent organization was founded in 1914
and is the largest nonprofit sail and power boating safety educational organization
in the world. We teach classes in seamanship, navigation, and related subjects
to provide our membership with on-going educational opportunities. Our members
enjoy on-the-water activities together such as cruises, rendezvous, charting and
fishing. In addition, activities ashore include meetings and marine programs,
parties, dinner-dances, picnics, and field trips. We are honored to be one of
450 squadrons in the nation, and one of 9 squadrons in northern California. Marin
Squadron is located in USPS® District 25 which covers the San Francisco Bay area,
Delta, and surrounding area.
