Cooperative Charting is an important service that we, as members of the United States Power Squadrons, can perform; and:

• It does not cost us any money.
• It helps NOAA keep our boating charts up to date.
• It makes boating safer for everyone.
• It does not take much effort.
• It can be a lot of fun and a very satisfying activity.

NOAA (The National Oceangraphic and Atmospheric Association) supplies us with blank forms to use in this important work. I have forms available and they are yours for the asking. Call me at (718) 465-4823.

All you are asked to do is ...

• On land - make out a report on marine facilities, marinas, boatyards and yacht clubs.
• On the water - make note of bouys that have been added, removed or are off-station, as well as lights that are not working, wrecks in and under the water.

The forms are really easy to follow; and, we need to have the information you can supply about your area. You can return the completed forms to me at: 78-36 222 Street, Flushing, NY 11364. I will pass them along to District 3 and they , in turn, will send them on to NOAA.
